Pastoral Council
THE PASTORAL COUNCIL
The Pastoral Council advises and assists the pastor in matters relating to parishioner involvement within the parish and the community at large. The Pastoral Council elicits the concerns of parishioners and responds, inclusively and collaboratively, to both the expressed desires and observed needs of the General Assembly of all parishioners. In considering the fulfillment of its mission, the Pastoral Council is guided by traditional Christian charity as expressed in the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
Gymnasium Committee
The St Apollinaris Gymnasium committee is an oversight committee with three main functions:
1. Manage the usage and maintenance of the gymnasium
2. Oversee and maintain the Gymnasium Endowment Fund
3. Sponsor a fundraiser to fund the Gymnasium Endowment Fund.
The committee members are volunteers who are appointed by the pastor.
Count Committee
This group counts money from liturgy collections and assists with bank deposits. Appointed by the pastor.
Finance Committee
In its advisory role to the pastor this committee provides guidance and recommendations on the fiscal operations of the parish. In addition to presenting the annual financial report, the committee oversees the parish and school budgets. Members are appointed by the pastor.
