Pastoral Council

THE PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Pastoral Council advises and assists the pastor in matters relating to parishioner involvement within the parish and the community at large. The Pastoral Council elicits the concerns of parishioners and responds, inclusively and collaboratively, to both the expressed desires and observed needs of the General Assembly of all parishioners. In considering the fulfillment of its mission, the Pastoral Council is guided by traditional Christian charity as expressed in the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.

THE MISSION OF THE PASTORAL COUNCIL

We, the Pastoral Council of St. Apollinaris Parish, under the direction of the pastor and in collaboration with the priests, deacons, religious and parishioners, with trust in the power of the Holy Spirit, are called to foster the spread of the Good News of Jesus Christ in order to bring all people to a deeper union with God and His church.

CHURCH RENOVATION COMMITTEE

A committee was formed in 2016 to assist in making recommendations for the repair and renovation of the church.  The committee members are Carl Such -Chair, Gerry Cruz, Michael Nivens, Mark Brumley and Jodi Leveque.  The committee obtained architectural design, structural, roof and exterior inspections to assist in determining the scope of the project.  Committee members review all contracts and interface with contractors and inspection officials.
